Cydcor, the leading provider of outsourced, face-to-face sales teams recently partnered with Heal the Bay, a group dedicated to increasing the quality of the bays off the Southern California coast. Cydcor, being the first corporate volunteer group for Heal the Bay in 2010, worked hard to collect 50 pounds of trash and debris during their clean up efforts at Zuma Beach in Malibu.

Zuma Beach was cluttered with small items, pieces of plastic, Styrofoam, bottle caps, and other pieces of litter, making the shoreline a genuine wasteland. Eighty Cydcor office members banded together to rid the area of waste. Not only did the team put forth effort to actively change the dynamic of the Bay, they also made a monetary donation to the project, indicative of their commitment to philanthropy.

Heal the Bay is excited about their new found partnership with Cydcor. Being a local business, the company has a great connection to the ocean and a growing commitment to make the beaches of Southern California safe, healthy, and clean.

This isn’t Cydcor’s first foray into philanthropy and community involvement. The company recently partnered with Any Soldier, Inc. by donating 27 large boxes containing food, toiletries, and even entertainment for American soldiers. Prior to this, Cydcor joined the Children’s Hospital in Los Angeles at its annual corporate kick-off meeting to host a toy drive. The local business also donated groceries and hygiene products to a food drive sponsored by Manna. The gifts from this particular drive went towards helping families who lost their homes in the Sayre fire.

Vera Quinn, the senior vice president of operations at Cydcor, has emphasized the group’s commitment to local organizations and the community. She believes that the Cydcor team’s dedication to these causes is not only great for those benefiting from their philanthropy, but it is a key component of the company’s overall success.
