Bloggingheads debate climate change

On the New York Times blog Bloggingheads, David W. Orr, (talking head on the left) author of “Down to the Wire: Confronting Climate Collapse,” and Jim Manzi of National Review, debate how much we should do to prevent climate change.

The question debated is, “How can we calibrate an appropriate response to the uncertainties of future climate change?”

Orr said the issue cannot be “compressed into economic thinking.” He said it’s not a cost, it’s a benefit to take action on the climate change crisis.

“If we wait too long, damages will spiral out of control,” Orr said.
